The "Golf Club Frassanelle" is set in the municipality of Rovolon in the northern zone of the Euganean Hills Park.
It was created in 1990 within the vast property of Villa Papafava whose gorgeous grounds cover more than 200 hectares and were designed by the famous Venetian architect Giuseppe Jappelli. Its romantic park, whose rich fauna and flora make it absolutely interesting, recreates the atmosphere and charm of the English countryside in this corner of the Euganean area offering extensive open spaces, lush woods and a lovely lake.
The green surrounding hills give rise to an idyllic setting around the 18-hole golf course, whose path was designed by Marco Croze; he included numerous ponds, streams and clearings, in order to make the game more challenging and ensure fun also to the most experienced players. A peculiar trait is represented by the 15th hole, called "The Queen", for sure the most difficult to win as it is located on a small island completely surrounded by water with a 150mt par.
A charming rustic building dated to the seventeenth century, carefully restored and endowed with furniture of Anglo-Saxon taste, houses the elegant clubhouse. The Frassanelle Golf Club also offers modern premises equipped with bar, restaurant, pitching green, golf carts, lighted putting green, carts, pro-shop, swimming-pool and sauna.
